Thank You Mr. and Mrs. Miller!

May 14, 2012

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Miller,

The Parent Advisory Council wants to express sincere gratitude and respect to you for your extreme level of dedication and service to Bethel Life School over the past two years. Your leadership has ranged from great new ideas, to effective management of practical issues, to your modeling of patience, kindness, and wisdom in the area of interpersonal and administrative process management. Your accomplishments will have lasting positive effects on the institution as well as on our children’s educational and spiritual lives.
A few of your contributions that we are especially thankful for are:

-Forming and working closely with the Parent Advisory Council on community outreach, advertising, accreditation, parent involvement, and a number of other initiatives to lead the school in a continuing pursuit of excellence. This level of valued engagement and collaboration has been tremendous and establishes a foundation of parent involvement with great potential for the future.

-Your vision for improving the multiple lines of communication among BLS staff, teachers and parents has been outstanding and successful. This new standard of communication was much needed and is appreciated by all involved.

-On a shoestring budget your vision and drive to get BLS’s information technology upgraded to current capabilities has already improved the efficiency and effectiveness of instruction in the classroom as well as interactivity between teachers and parents.

-With over 85% of BLS families being from churches from around the community you took the initiative to reach out to all of the pastors and leaders of these congregations as well as joining hands with the other schools in the area to improve the entire Wichita area Christian Education.

-Your mature, wise, and humble leadership is a living testimony to how Christians can be effective and strong while meeting the standards of Christ’s character. These attributes have been especially powerful through this time of change. Parents, teachers and, most of all, students have a good reference on how to conduct oneself in the midst of difficulty, change, and disappointment.

We appreciate your leadership, enthusiasm, insightful ideas and drive to action. We are greatly saddened to see you leave as the Principal of BLS and would like you to know that we will be continuing to lift you and your family up in prayer as you move on to whatever God has in store for your family. As written in Romans 8:28-29 we know that all things will work together for good, because we know that you love God and are called according to His purpose.

Rom 8:28-29 (NKJV)-And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Lastly, we want to encourage you and your family with Proverbs 16:3 and Numbers 6:24-26. We pray the Lord will bless you and cause whatever you set your hand to do to prosper.

Prov 16:3 (NIV)-Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

Num 6:24-26 (NKJV)-"The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace."

Sincerely,

The Parent Advisory Council

"Blessed is the nation whose god is the Lord" - Psalm 33:12

Thursday, May 3rd is the National Day of Prayer.  Bethel Life Center will be holding a service from 12 Noon to 1 PM dedicated to prayer and worship in the sanctuary, which will include the BLS Middle School Worship Team.

“Fasting and prayer are religious exercises; the enjoining them an act of discipline. Every religious society has a right to determine for itself the time for these exercises, and the objects proper for them, according to their own particular tenets; and right can never be safer than in their hands, where the Constitution has deposited it.” Thomas Jefferson, 1808
